Molecular diagnostics
The rapidSTRIPE detection system is developed as a new diagnostic platform for very fast, efficient and specific detection of microbial pathogens, like bacteria, protozoa or viruses. The modular structure of this system combines all steps of molecular diagnostics – isolation of nucleic acids, amplification and detection of target nucleic acids.

For detection of Influenca suptype H1N1. The H1N1 Assay contains all reagents for isolation of viral RNA, amplification and detection of H1N1. The isolation of viral RNA from swab samples is based on an optimized method for isolation of viral nucleic acids (patend pending). The final amplification and detection is based on the RAH technology (Rapid Amplification Hybridization) and take place on a simple lateral flow stripe.
Latest press release: Analytik Jena Launches H1N1 Rapid Test
For the detection of successful bacterial DNA isolation from foodstuff after cultivation using a stomacher. The test is based on the amplification of a general microbial specific target sequence and the subsequent gelelectrophoretically analysis. The test avoid false negative results referring to test for the detection of pathogens due to an insufficient DNA quality.
For the specific detection of Listeria monocytogenes from nucleic acids isolated from foodstuff after cultivation using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay.
For the specific detection of Salmonella enteritica from nucleic acids isolated from foodstuff after cultivation using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay.
For the extremely fast isolation of bacterial DNA from foodstuff after standard cultivation steps using a stomacher.
For detection of Babesia infections from nucleic acids isolated from ticks using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay.
For the detection of successful DNA isolation from ticks based on the amplification of a tick specific target sequence and subsequent gelelectrophoretically analysis. The test avoid false negative results referring to the test for the detection of pathogens due to a insufficient DNA quality.
For the detection of Ehrlichia infections from nucleic acids isolated from ticks using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay. This test is can be used for the detection of Anaplasma phagocytophilum incl. related Ehrlichia.
For the detection of Borrelia infections from nucleic acids isolated from ticks using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay.
For the detection of Rickettsia infections from nucleic acids isolated from ticks using rapidPCR and a novel stripe assay.
For the extremely fast and simultaneously isolation of DNA and RNA from ticks using SpeedMill P12 or other beads based homogenizer. RNA viruses (e.g. FSME) can be determined next to the detection of bacterial pathogens.
For the extremely fast isolation of DNA from ticks using SpeedMill P12 or other beads based homogenizer. The purified DNA is also dedicated for the further detection of bacteria and protozoa from the tick tissue.
Rapid Test for detection of B.pertussis infections in human. The test is based on isolation of DNA form nasopharyncs specimen (swabs) an subsequent detection of b.pertussis DNA using the RAH technology (Rapid Amplification Hybridization). The detection take place on a lateral flow test stripe. The complete procedure is finished within 1.5 h. The test is certified for in vitro diagnostics.
